Bengals rookie wins honor; Galloway in for workout
Rookie running back Bernard Scott has been named the AFC Special Teams Player of the Week by the NFL, according to a press release from the Bengals.
Scott returned a kickoff 96 yards for a touchdown to help lead Cincinnati to an 18-12 victory at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh. In his first action as the No. 1 kick returner this season, Scott returned five total kickoffs for 206 yards (41.2-yard average) at Pittsburgh. The last Bengal to win an AFC Special Teams Player of the Week award was wide receiver Tab Perry in Week 13 of 2005.
In other news, ESPN is reporting that the Bengals had 3 players in for a workout Tuesday.
The most notable name of the group is wide receiver Joey Galloway. The Ohio State product was released by the Patriots earlier this season. Cincinnati also worked out defensive tackle Ed Johnson and safety Mike Doss.

Glad to see “Bengal” fans coming out. Where were you the last 20 years while your team sucked and your fan gear was collecting dust in the attic ?! Never fails when a team starts winning all the “real” fans come out.

To “see you next year,” be careful with over-generalizations. ALL teams have fans who are only vocal when winning. However, Bengals fans do seem more loyal than most. We have to be when we virtually never have a winning season to brag about. I live on the East Coast now, but my city surprisingly has a Bengals bar! The place was full of orange jerseys on game 1 when we lost, it was full on game 2, and, of course, it’s been full since. So, not everyone who says “Who Dey” should be considered a bandwagoner. Also, way to go B. Scott!

I agree with No Bandwagoner above, I’ve lived in Nevada and Arizona the past few years. I’m supposed to get excited and talk about being a fan when my team is 4-12 over 2,000 miles away? See you next year, you must be a Steelers fan and are still using the Terrible Towel to dry your eyes. Let me guess, you like Pittsburgh because they usually win, sounds like a “real” fan with the rest of the Bandwagon Steeler fans.

Us steelers fans are not familiar with what its like to be a bandwagon fan….because we always have a solid team. Bengals fans are notorious for being bandwagon. To No Bandwagoner, how many steelers bars are there in the Dayton area? Just as many as there are Browns and Bengals. There are a lot of Ohio natives that are fans of the Steelers, not because of bandwagon, but because the two Ohio teams are poor organizations and leave Ohioans little to be proud of. Typically the Bengals have a higher conviction percentage than winning percentage.

The squeeler fans need to lighten up and learn to take a loss. I’ve been a Bengals fan since 1972 when I got my first Kenny Anderson Jersey and I have taken my lumps over the years so this is nice to see and if it takes another 20 years I’ll be here.

Ohio Steeler fans are losers who decided to be Steeler fans because they win, thus they feel less like the losers they truly are. It takes a true fan to stand by their team like we Bengal fans have.

This is the bengals team of old and not 2005. The fans who have jumped on can only pull that play-off run out of there limited bengals knowledge. This seasons team shoe similarities from 81 and 88 a team with powerhouse potential. Barring any let downs I see a smooth run to the playoffs ahead and for the new band wagoners please get the chant right. Its “Who Dey Who Dey Who dey think gon beat dem begals noooooooooobody!!!!! and repeat…. Born and bread bengals fan glad to see people jumping on for a ride with the mighty mighty Bengals, and to all Steelers fans thanks for another great year of football steelers v. bengals will always be the best rivalry in the afc north…. WHO DEY!!!!

I was a Bengal fan from day one - when the franchise first started. It is really nice to see them playing so well. I don’t think Marvin Lewis has gotten enough credit for turning the franchise around.

The Broncos and the Texans are the answer to this “Who Dey” question. And its not a thinking thing, these teams did beat them.

Our defense looked tired at the end of the game. We should call in linebacker Marcus Freeman to help the defense as we go into the playoffs. He runs a 4.5 40. He had the most solo tackles at Ohio State.

Dont be getting all excited until the Bungles return home from San Diego. If you cannot beat the Bolts at home - you have no chance through the playoffs.
