Most towns have a favorite watering hole where customers eat, drink and watch sports. In Ross, Eli's Sports Bar & Grill is quickly becoming such a place with its 10-foot high wide screens, full service bar and a menu that's a cut above the rest.

"We are definitely on the higher end for a sports bar as we think our food is simply phenomenal," said owner Steve Westerbeck.

Westerbeck and his two brothers opened Eli's at the end of January after enjoying six years of success at their Maineville location. While the emphasis is on sports, Eli's offers internet service with a computer on site along with free WiFi. Keno, live music and dancing will also be available in the weeks to come.

"Keno has been popular in Maineville, and we plan to add it here along with plenty of additional entertainment opportunities like music, dart leagues, and WII bowling" Westerbeck said.

While part of the menu at Eli's features typical sports bar food, Kitchen Manager Randy Glascock has added extra items that makes Eli's a great choice for those who are simply looking for a great meal.

"I have created the entire menu, and I make the wing sauces, some of the dressings and I even bread the fish on site," Glascock said.

The lunch menu features Glascock's Walleye Sandwich which is deep fried and served on a hoagie bun with lettuce, tomato and pickle. Glascock then adds his own home made tartar sauce making the sandwich a customer favorite.

There are also 11 daily lunch specials to choose from which include steak hoagies, wings, soups and salad and a fried chicken sandwich. The Chicken Ranch wrap is another crowd pleaser and is made up of diced buffalo chicken, lettuce, tomato and shredded cheddar/jack cheese that's tossed in a spicy ranch sauce and wrapped in a flour tortilla. Other lunch choices include the Corned Beef or Turkey Reuben Sandwich, The Philly Cheese Steak, Sliced Turkey Club, Beer Battered Fish - n - Chips and Jumbo Shrimp.

"We also offer a wide variety of burgers, hot wings and chicken tenders," Glascock said.

Evenings at Eli's feature a daily dinner special with large portions of ribs, burgers and chicken fritters. Kids under 10 can choose smaller portions from their separate menu and soft drinks include bottomless mugs of Coke products and Iced Tea. Eli's offers heated outdoor seating and a full service bar with 12 taps, a variety of drink specials and drafts and bottled beers of the month. While there is table service from the bar customers must order their own food upon entering the restaurant.
