Butler County Veterans Day Program: Complimentary coffee and donuts sponsored by The Butler County Veterans’ Service Commission at 8:30 a.m., followed by the program at 9 a.m. Nov. 11 in the Michael J. Colligan Lodge at Butler County Veterans Memorial Park, South B. Street and New London Road, Hamilton.

Veterans Day Program: Presented by LT Ball fifth-graders. Ron Re will speak about Tipp City veterans, students will present a choral reading and sing God Bless America. Murlin Heights Elementary School Veterans Day Program: The program will include singing by the third grade class and essay readings by students about what veterans mean to them. Local Veterans Celebration: In honor of the sacrifice and dedication of service men and women. During the ceremony, Alex Mol, a senior chemistry education major at Cedarville, will share the story of Retired Army Air Corps Lt. Col. James B. Cheney’s time as a fighter pilot and POW during World War II. The ceremony also features musical performances by the university’s Men’s Glee Club, the symphonic band, and Beth Porter, associate professor of music.
