Authentic is the word that comes to mind as one enters Dingle House Irish Pub & Grub in West Chester. The interior of the pub was built in Ireland and the stone walls and high varnish bar immediately transport you back to the Emerald Isle. Servers in kilts, traditional Irish fare and a wide selection of beer completes the picture for those looking to enjoy a fun day out in a high end pub atmosphere.

“We put a lot of passion in our food and we only use seasonal, fresh ingredients,” said executive chef Sid Jones.

Jones has a long culinary background including stints at Chesters Road House and the Maisonette. He said when he designed the menu at Dingle House he decided to blend traditional Irish foods with the favorites of the Midwest.

“I had to include burgers and the likes since we are in the Midwest but we have plenty of Irish favorites as well,” he said.

The same menu is served throughout the day and includes traditional choices like Bangers and Mash, Shepard’s Pie, Irish Stew and Dingle Fish & Chips. Chef Sid has added a group of his own specialties such as Crab Crusted Filet, Aged Bone-Strip Loin and North Atlantic Salmon. In addition, there are a wide variety of seafood and pasta choices on the fine dining side of the menu.

For those looking for something on the lighter side, Dingle House sandwiches include the classic Irish choices like the Reuben and the Hot Corned Beef. Several burgers, salads and fresh soups are also available.

Chef Jones’ creative side came into play when he designed the dessert menu and his Bailey’s Chocolate Creme Brulee will make you swoon. Banana’s Foster Bread Pudding, and Key Lime Pie are customer favorites as well.

Dingle House offers a kids menu for those under 12 with favorites like McMac & Cheese, Chicken Fingers and Spaghetti with tomato sauce. The full service bar has tons of beers by the bottle and on draft, and private parties can be held at the pub with advance notice.
