Mason man's death being investigated as homicide

Mason police are investigating the death of 27-year-old Kevin C. Barnhill of Mason.
Police found him lying on the ground at approximately 2:30 a.m. Saturday behind a business at 733 Reading Road. Officers and medics tried to give him first aid, but he died at the scene.
Witnesses say Barnhill may have been involved in a fight in the parking lot of the Mason Pub at 753 Reading Road. The case is being treated as a homicide; it would be the first homicide in Mason this year.
Barnhill was an employee of the Cincinnati Reds’ ticket operations department.
