Motorcyclist dies in weekend crash

ROSS TWP. — A Cincinnati man died this weekend after he crashed his motorcycle into an oncoming car on Cincinnati-Brookville Road.

Johnny Turner, 57, was westbound at 8:02 p.m. Saturday, May 10, when he lost control of his motorcycle as he was cresting Fernald Hill, authorities said. He crossed the center line and collided with an eastbound car driven by Robert McConnel, said Ross Police Chief Carl Worley.

"He struck the car head on," Worley said.

Police said Turner was dead when they arrived at 8:06 p.m. McConnel, 68, of Morgan Twp. was taken to The Fort Hamilton Hospital and released.
