Coach Michael Haywood’s 2009 Miami University football team will play its first four home games—Kentucky, Cincinnati, Northern Illinois and Toledo—on Saturday afternoons and its final two home games—Bowling Green and Buffalo— in the evening, Director of Athletics Brad Bates announced today.
Miami’s home games versus Kentucky and Toledo will be televised on ESPNU and ONN, respectively, with TV also a possibility for the final two games against Bowling Green and Buffalo. Of the RedHawks’ six road contests, the Northwestern game on October 10 will either be televised on the ESPN platform or by the Big Ten Network, while television is a possibility on November 5 when Temple hosts Miami.
“With Michael Haywood at our helm, we are entering an exciting era of Miami football in 2009,” said Bates. “From our season opener on September 5 against Kentucky at Paul Brown Stadium to our Yager Stadium opener against rival Cincinnati to four great Mid-American Conference games, our home schedule presents an exciting opportunity for our team and fans. We urge RedHawk fans to order season tickets now and support Miami throughout this fall.”
Tickets can be ordered online (www.MURedHawks.com), in person at the Millett Hall Box Office or by phone 1-866-MUHAWKS (1-866-684-2957) or 513-529-HAWK.
