CHILLICOTHE — The Miami University baseball season ended Friday, May 22, with a 12-8 loss to Kent State in the semifinals of the Mid-American Conference tournament.

The RedHawks (30-25) reached the semifinals with a wild come-from-behind win against Central Michigan in which MU scored nine runs in the bottom of the eighth inning for a 10-4 triumph.

Miami led Kent State 4-1 after 11/2 innings of their semifinal game, but the Flashes scored four in the bottom of the second to take a lead they would never relinquish.

Kent State (41-15) will play for the title today against the winner of Friday’s late semifinal between Eastern Michigan and Toledo.
