in the West camp

The Best in the West boys basketball camp, directed by Sean Van Winkle, is open to boys entering grades three through nine. Grades three through six will meet June 15-18, and grades seven through nine will meet June 22-25.

Baseball camp open to ages 5-15

The Best in the West Baseball Camp is set for June 22-25 at the West Chester Baseball Complex on Union Centre Boulevard.

The camp is for ages 5-15. Cost is $85, or $75 if registered by June 15. Walk-ups are permitted.

Learn to ice skate with free lesson

Learn to ice skate and/or play hockey on the ice when the Cincinnati Amateur Hockey Association and Northland Ice Rink offers a free learning session from 4:10 to 5:30 p.m. Saturday, June 13, at Northland Ice Rink, 10400 Reading Road, Cincinnati.

All-day summer skate camps

Skateboard camps for ages 10 and older are available at Sessions Skatepark in June and July. Camps run 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with two hours instruction and four hours of free-skate each day. Cost per camp is $115. Spots are limited.

Lakota West to host golf outing

Lakota West football coach Larry Cox has organized the first Lakota West football golf outing for July 17 at Beckett Ridge Country Club. Shot gun start is at 1 p.m. Cost is $320 per foursome or $80 per individual.

Fairfield summer basketball

The Fairfield boys basketball camp for boys entering grades three through 12 will be conducted June 15-18 at Fairfield High School Arena.

Preregistration forms can be found online at www.fairfieldcityschools.com. Walk-ups also are welcome.

In addition, a boys league will run June 29 through July 2 at Fairfield High School Arena. The League is for boys entering grades four through seven.

Football camp offers free sessions

All-City Football Camps, sponsored by Kingdom Football Ministries, are now under way. Registration for the K-14U summer football and cheer program requires an AAU membership, then students can participate at multiple sites June through July for free.

Golf outing supports Panther football

The Touchdown Club’s first golf outing is set for 1 p.m. July 11 at Deer Track Golf Course, 6160 Ohio 727, Goshen. All proceeds support Little Miami Football.

O-Line Camp at Kings High School

The 2009 O-Line Camp is set for 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 17, at Kings High School Football Stadium, 5500 Columbia Road Kings Mills.

The camp is for offensive linemen entering grades nine through 12. Cost is $40.

Kings hosts youth football camp

The 2009 Kings High School Football Camp will be conducted June16-18 at the Kings High School Football Stadium, 5500 Columbia Road in Kings Mill.

The camp is for students in grades kindergarten through six and will run from 9 to 11:30 a.m. each day. Cost is $60.

Swarm announces tryouts

The Warren County Swarm baseball organization is conducting individual tryouts for its 11U and 12U teams for the 2010 season. The Swarm plays in the Southwest Ohio Baseball League.

Free basketball clinic in Lebanon

Urbancrest Baptist Church will host a youth basketball clinic/tournament from 6 to 8 p.m. June 17-18 at Pleasant Park, near the Lebanon Post Office.

Hycrest offers swim lessons

HyCrest Swim Club is offering swim lessons for all skill levels. Thirty-minute sessions will be conducted from 10 a.m. to noon June 15-26, July 13-24 and Aug. 7-18. Cost is $50 per session for non-members or $30 per session for members.
