Fairfield sets dates for football camp

The Fairfield Football Camp for students entering grades two through nine is set for July 6-9.

The camp will be directed by Fairfield coach Aaron Fitzstephens and his staff, and runs from 6 to 8:15 p.m. each day.

Monroe camp 
for champions

The Monroe High School coaching staff will host a football camp for athletes entering grades one through nine from 9 to 11 a.m. June 15-18 at Monroe Fighting Hornets Stadium.

Football camp for youth players

Coach David Sedmak will be directing football camps for students entering grades two through nine.

Session one is for grades two through six and runs from 9 a.m. to noon July 6-8. Session two is for grades seven through nine and runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 20-22.

Lacrosse camp 
for boys, girls

The 2009 Ohio Performance Lacrosse Camps for boys and girls ages 8-18 are set for June 22-24 at Hopewell Junior School, 8200 Cox Road in West Chester Twp.

The camps are directed by Gary Gait, a member of the National Lacrosse Hall of Fame and 10-time NCAA champion, and by Lellie Swords, coach of the University of Cincinnati women’s lacrosse team.

Coaches and staff at Cincinnati State Technical and Community College will be hosting several sports-related camps for children this summer. The lineup includes:

West offers camps for boys

Scott Mueller has announced the dates for the 2009 Firebird summer basketball camps and leagues.

Camps will run the week of June 29 through July 2 at Lakota West High School, and the leagues will meet Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from July 6 through July 23 at Lakota Plains Junior High School.

Firebirds host wrestling camp

The Firebird Wrestling Camp is open to all ages and experience levels and features Ohio State University coach Joe Heskett. The camp takes place June 15-18 at Lakota West High School.

Girls camp to be led 
by Mason coach

Register now for the Rob Matula 2009 girls basketball camp, run by Mason’s varsity coach Rob Matula, his staff and current players.

The camp runs June 22-25. The first session is in the morning for girls in grades three through six. The second session is in the afternoon for girls in grades seven through nine.

Cost is $80 per player, or $150 for two family members.

Lakota High School golf coaches will offer a student golf camp from 1:30 to 4 p.m. June 16-19 at Four Bridges Country Club. The camp is open to junior golfers ages 8-16. Cost is $125.

Cougar softball camp covers basics

The Cougar Softball Skills Camp directed by Jackie Cornelius, Mount Notre Dame softball coach and director of softball operations at Sports of All Sorts, is set for June 22-23 at Koenig Park in Reading.

Session one lasts from 9 to 11:30 a.m. for girls entering grades three through six.

Session two takes place from 1 to 3:30 p.m. for girls entering grades seven through 12.

Golf outing honors MHS graduate

The Michelle Moses Inaugural Golf Outing is set for June 14 at Beckett Ridge Country Club. The shotgun start is at 1 p.m. Cost is $80 per golfer or $320 per foursome.
