TROTWOOD — Having a hard time financially?
United Theological Seminary is coming to the rescue with a series of free workshops focusing on money-saving strategies.
The four-part series will tell participants how to stretch dollars, manage stress and "be spiritually encouraged in the economic downturn." Topics will cover nutrition, money management, stress and faith.
All sessions begin at 5:30 p.m. with a soup supper at the campus, 4501 Denlinger Road, Trotwood.
Here's the rundown:
March 9: "Stretching Your Food Dollars" led by Jane Key, a registered dietitian, who will demonstrate how to eat healthy on a tight budget.
March 16: "Money Matters ... Now More Than Ever" led by Chris Olinsky of OSU Extension.
April 13: "Managing Stress in Hard Times," led by Rev. Ed Wilder, pastoral counselor and spiritual director on staff at The Pohly Center for Supervision and Leadership Formation, UTS.
April 20: "Holding on to Your Faith" led by Dr. Emma Justes, distinguished professor of pastoral care and counseling, United Theological Seminary.
