Lebanon Theatre Co. opens May with an 'Enchanted April'

The Lebanon Theatre Company presents "Enchanted April" on Saturday and Sunday, May 10 and 11, and May 16-18 at Top of the Shoe Theatre, 120 E. South St.

The charming tale is based on the novel that inspired the 1992 film. Two frustrated housewives from London take a holiday in an Italian villa to escape their uninspiring and dreary marriages. They share the cost with two other much different women, and during their vacation on the Mediterranean, discover unexpected attributes to their characters.

Take a spring stroll on Sunday and experience art

The Waynesville Merchants Association presents the Second Sunday Stroll from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday, May 11, in the historic business district on Main Street. This month's event will feature works by student artists from area schools.

The organizers also are seeking artists, fine craftsmen and entertainers for the monthly event to be held through September, promoting the arts in the village.

Enjoy old standards, jazz and dinner at Starlight Cabaret

Enjoy dinner on the stage and relax to an evening of music from the old standards to today's jazz, performed by community artists at Murphy's Starlight Cabaret.

this train ride

The Lebanon Mason Monroe Railroad presents a train ride through Warren County with Curious George on May 17-18 and May 24-25.

The hour-long ride includes a story, photos with the mischievous monkey, a bounce castle and a hay maze.

As part of the Town Hall Lecture Series, Jane Bryant Quinn, one of the nation's leading commentators on personal finance will come to the Schuster Center in Dayton at 10 a.m. May 15.

held Wednesday

Workforce One of Warren County will hold a free workshop Wednesday, May 14, to teach attendees how to apply for state or federal government jobs.
