Voice of America Park
MetroParks of Butler County presents another free outdoor jazz concert at Voice of America Park, 7850 VOA Park Drive. Improv will take the stage from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, May 23, on the banks of the 35-acre lake.
Blankets or folding chairs are encouraged. In case of inclement weather, the event will take place in the adjacent Ronald Reagan Lodge.
Food and beverages will be available for purchase. Bar service also will be available, and outdoor lawn games will be provided by Partners in Prime.
A MetroParks of Butler County Motor Vehicle Permit is required for every vehicle entering Voice of America Park. For more information, visit www.butlercounty

Jets and Sharks collide once more
at LaComedia
The classic musical based loosely on Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet" returns to the stage as LaComedia Dinner Theatre presents "West Side Story." Enjoy Leonard Bernstein's musical account of two rival street gangs, a forbidden teenage romance and the chaos created by their cultural and ethnic differences. Performances run Wednesdays through Sundays through June 29 at the theatre, 765 W. Central Ave., Springboro. Ticket prices vary.

West Chamber Chorus to perform benefit
at local church
The 20-member Lakota West Chamber Chorus will perform Mozart's "Requiem" for the final Ubi Caritas Concert of the year at 7 p.m. Saturday, May 24, at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 7393 Dimmick Road. The chorus also will perform a capella works by Rachmaninoff, Billings, Hogan, Whitacre, Paulus and others.
The concert is free, but donations will be accepted to benefit Reach Out Lakota.
Memorial Day
parade set to
march on Monday
The VFW Post 7696 has organized the annual Memorial Day Parade for 10 a.m. Monday, May 26.
The community parade will begin at Union Elementary School, 8735 Cincinnati-Dayton Road and will end at Brookside Cemetery, where a ceremony to honor veterans will follow.
Can Kaptain Knievel clear a Coke caravan
at Kings Island?
Daredevil son of world record holder Evel Knievel, Kaptain Robbie Knievel, will attempt to surpass his father's stunt involving buses and a motorcycle jump. This time, though, the feat will be a death defying attempt to jump 24 Coke Zero trucks.
The event is scheduled for 7 p.m. Saturday, May 24, at Kings Island. Tickets are $29.99 in advance and include park admission.
