Area team tops on 'Clash of the Choirs'

Team Cincinnati is bringing home $250,000 for Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center after viewers voted them number one in NBC's "Clash of the Choirs."

Led by Nick Lachey, several Butler County residents — including a Lakota East High School math teacher — participated in the four-day New York competition against choirs led by Michael Bolton, Patti LaBelle, Blake Shelton and Kelly Rowland.

The winner was announced Thursday night. Lachey's team performed "Flight of the Bumble Bee" in a cappella style, getting a standing ovation from the audience.
