A 49-year-old Maineville woman was found guilty on Friday, April 11, 2008 in the Warren County Court of Common Pleas on one count of grand theft and one count of tampering with records, both felonies of the fourth degree, according to Warren County Prosecutor Rachel Hutzel.

A Warren County jury returned two guilty verdicts against Darlene Powers, following a five-day jury trial in Judge James Heath's court. The verdicts found Powers guilty of taking $75,000 in cash from Kings Island Amusement Parks and changing records to conceal the theft. Powers committed the crimes while she was employed at the amusement park. Hutzel praised the efforts of Mason Detective Jerry Deidesheimer and Assistant Prosecutor Mel Planas, who prosecuted this case.
