March 27: An officer patrolling on Allen Street observed a male driver turn onto Lightner Lane without signaling and initiated a traffic stop. The driver was told the reason for the stop and apologized.

An odor of alcohol emitted from the driver, but he denied drinking any alcohol and said, "It must be my buddy." There was no one else in the vehicle.

The officer pointed out the odor was coming from the driver, and he admitted to having a couple of beers.

The driver submitted to field sobriety tests and was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
