The 20-year-old female told police she was at a friend's home on Homestead Avenue when the male began making the threats. She alleged that the male told her if she took one step in the house he would kill her with a metal pipe he was holding.

After entering the house with her friend who lives there, police said the male entered the house with the pipe and continued to threaten her with it. He eventually threw the pipe into the living room, reportedly telling the victim he would beat her himself or have someone else do it.

Police said a warrant has been issued for the man's arrest.

Party's aftermath leads police to pair of citations

Miami University student Andrew Javorsky, 21, was issued a pair of citations after what police suspect was a substantial party.

Police said several hundred cans of beer and used cups littered the front lawn of 208 University Drive in the early morning of April 27, in addition to trash spread out over the back yard area and two tables that appeared to not be designed for outdoor use.

Officers were unable to locate any residents upon their first visit, but spoke with Javorsky later in the day. Javorsky reportedly admitted to police he had thrown a party the previous evening, but noted that he did not want any of the home's other residents to get in trouble for it. He was cited for an outdoor furniture violation and littering before being released on his own recognizance.

Underage student tried to enter bar three times

Police arrested a 20-year-old Miami University student who alledgedly tried multiple times to enter Brick Street Bar and Grill on April 29.

James Connolly, 212 Thornwood Avenue, Wilmette, Ill., was allegedly ejected from the bar on two separate instances and was trying to enter the establishment a third time. Police observed a staff member escorting Connolly from the building after finding him attempting to sneak into the bar near a patio gate.

The bar employee said Connolly ran to a locked back door of the bar and tried to enter for a third time. Officers said Connolly smelled strongly of alcohol and could hardly speak due to his level of intoxication. He was taken to the Oxford Police Department, where he was charged with criminal trespass and underage intoxication.

Cinder block damages window at student's home

A University Drive resident returned home on April 26 to find an unexpected surprise on the floor of her bedroom: a broken cinder block.

Police said the cinder block likely came from the front porch of a neighboring residence, which had a number of similar blocks on it. Officers believe someone picked up the broken concrete block and threw in through a front window of the home, with the block traveling through the bedroom of the complainant.

The resident said nobody had been in the house when the incident occurred. Police spoke with the neighbors, who said they did not know of anyone throwing the blocks or stealing them from their front porch.

Officers asked the neighbors to remove the cinder blocks from the porch to prevent similar incidents in the future, which police said they agreed to do.
