MIAMISBURG — There's a new doughnut shop opening up in downtown Miamisburg as part of the city's business revitalization.

The new shop is the coming together of the Donut Haus family business in Springboro and Dale Qualls, owner of the building where the new business will be at 8 E. Central Ave.

Extras

The building has a long retail history, having been built in 1890, when it first opened as the Rost Bakery.

Mike Hemmert of the Donut Haus group said his family provided the location's prior doughnut shop operator, then called Jim's Donut Shop.

The new doughnut shop, which is yet to be named, is slated to open in late June, Hemmert said.

"We will bring what we have done in Springboro for 23 years to downtown Miamisburg," Hemmert said. "I believe strongly in small business development and have many partnerships to ensure a win-win."

The new shop will feature a specialty doughnut in honor of the Miamisburg High School Vikings, along with gourmet coffee and a full cold beverage line of juices, energy drinks and soft drinks.
