Cedarville High School's Impson Invitational featured record-setting performances by three individuals and team victories by Bethel (boys) and Greeneview (girls) at chilly, windy Cedarville University on Saturday, April 12.

Bethel's Ashley Swackhamer set a meet record in the 300-meter hurdles at 49.1 seconds, breaking the old mark of 49.7.

Extras

Cedarville's Katie Gerhardt and Northeastern's Jared Collier dominated the field events in record fashion. Gerhardt captured the discus (135 feet, 1 inch) and shot put (40-3), eclipsing the old marks of 111-0 and 34-5.

Collier, meanwhile, launched the discus 162-0 and threw the shot 51-8, shattering the previous marks of 148-8 and 50-5.

Baseball

Dixie 9, Milton-Union 4: Dixie senior Curtis Tuttle had a triple and four RBIs in the first of two wins over Milton-Union. Pitcher Ryan Hayes got the win in Game 1 for Dixie (6-3).

Northmont 9, Miamisburg 3: Pitcher Kevin Tolle struck out nine for the Thunderbolts in his third win. Kenny Federick was 3-for-4 with a home run for Northmont (9-1).

Franklin 14, Waynesville 4: The Wildcats' Tyler Jablonski had three RBIs and a homer. He was also the winning pitcher for Franklin (5-3).

Softball

Springboro 12, Cincinnati Princeton 0: The Panthers got their first win, scoring in each of the first three innings.

Fairmont 14, Xenia 6: Pitcher Jessie Walk won her fourth game. Jamie Schnerr was 4-for-4, while Fairmont (9-1) had 19 hits.

Brookville 4, Tri-County North 0: Sophomore pitcher Rachel Drinnon threw a no-hitter, tallying eight strikeouts in seven innings for Brookville (5-1).

Boys volleyball

Officials Tournament: Lakota West won the annual event in Kettering, taking three games, including the championship over Fairmont. Chaminade-Julienne finished third.
