Man with assault weapon detained by police

MIDDLETOWN — Police responded to a domestic violence call this morning, April 6, where a man reportedly was carrying an assault weapon, according to the Butler County Sheriff's Office.
Police and emergency crews responded to the call at around 10:40 a.m. at Carmody Boulevard and Ohio 4. A Butler County dispatcher said a man had an assault weapon on him when police arrived. The man has since been detained and the situation is under control, the dispatcher said.
