  A man who had holed himself inside a Sixth Street residence was let out in handcuffs by SWAT officers just before 6:15p.m. on Thursday, March 18, 2010. The man is a suspect in the robbery of a Third Street market, police said.

• Stabbing leads to police chase

  A woman was stabbed multiple times in Lebanon on Wednesday, March 10, 2010. The suspect fled the scene and led authorities on a high-speed pursuit on Interstate 75. Traffic on the highway was shut down for more than an hour. The pursuit ended with a medical emergency for the driver who started the chase.

• Man robs Monroe bank

  A Chase bank robbery suspect is seen in these surveillance images demanding cash from a bank teller. The suspect allegedly robbed the bank in Monroe around 9:30 a.m. Tues., Feb. 23 and took off East on foot. He was wearing a camouflage cap and may have had a black backpack, witnesses said. The suspect showed a black handgun. The Monroe police said this is the first bank robbery in the city in several decades.

• Shots fired at school bus

  Middletown police responded to a report of shots fired in the 1300 block of Hood Avenue on Thursday, Jan. 21, 2010. On Friday, neighbor Michael Maloney was arraigned on two counts of felonious assault with a weapon, two counts of endangering children, improper discharge of a firearm and inducing panic.

• Dr. Mark Blankenburg sentenced

  Hamilton pediatrician Dr. Mark Blankenburg was sentenced to 21 to 27 years in prison Friday, Jan. 8, 2009. Just over a year after first being indicted for molesting former patients, Blankenburg was classified as a Tier II sexual offender in Butler County Common Pleas Court.

• Bodies found shot to death

  The bodies of a man and woman found shot to death in the parking lot of Jellybean Junction daycare facility in Fairfield had gunshot wounds to the head. The bodies were discovered by a lawncare service employee in a Jeep Cherokee at Mack and Winton Roads around 9:15 a.m. Monday, Oct. 26 -- three hours after the daycare center opened.

• Pipe bomb detonated

  Photos: A suspected pipe bomb was detonated at 12:16 p.m., Aug. 5, by the Dayton bomb squad in an abandoned lot on South Pioneer Boulevard across from the temporary Springboro City Hall. The suspected bomb was found in the backpack of two teens pulled over about 3 a.m. on the north side of town.
