Bethesda Medical Center at Arrow Springs will host a family-friendly open house from noon- 4 p.m on Saturday, Oct. 17 on the hospital grounds, 100 Arrow Springs Boulevard, in Lebanon.
The open house is an opportunity for residents to see how Warren County emergency management responders prepare to save lives in a major disaster and to explore the disaster relief tools available to responders.
Among the attractions at the open house are an inflatable field hospital, a mobile command post, an emergency mobile kitchen, and air ambulance helicopter, and fire engines. The event also will offer attendees tools they need to keep their families safe, including family emergency plans; child fingerprint kits, seasonal flu shots; and blood pressure screenings.
The open house will be preceded by a disaster-drill Saturday morning, Oct. 17. Organizers caution that neighbors of the medical facility may hear police and fire sirens during the morning hours. The drill will include participants from throughout Warren County.
