A Waynesville business is asking customers to unleash their brassieres for a one-day fight against cancer.

Heaven Essence, a manufacturer of soy-based lotions, candles and relaxation products, will offer special give-aways and discounts to customers who come wearing their bras on the outside of their clothes and donate them to the American Cancer Society on Tuesday, Oct. 6 at their Waynesville location, 7600 Ohio 48, Building C, Waynesville.

Heaven Essence founder Denise Harris said she lost a sister to and brother to cancer and had another sister diagnosed with bone cancer in 2008. She said her products are used to treat cancer victim’s skin irritation caused by radical therapies.

During the Bra Bash, customers are asked to wear their bras outside of their clothes as a symbol for survivors or those who died after fighting cancer. In exchange for donating their bras to the American Cancer Society, customers will receive Natural Soy Lotion Body Bars as well as coupons for 50 percent off products and spa treatments.
