New Madison and Yellow Springs delayed their Saturday, July 4 fireworks shows due to rain and will hold them Sunday, July 5.
Sunday’s weather will cooperate, said Charlie Woodrum, a National Weather Service meteorologist.
“(Sunday) is looking a lot better,” Woodrum said. “There will be high pressure from the west and the rain will have moved well to the southwest by (Sunday) evening.”
The Yellow Springs fireworks will now take place Sunday, July 5 at dusk at Gaunt Park, according to WHIO-TV. The New Madison show will take place Sunday at 10 p.m. behind the high school.
