“Shaker Your Plate” is an old term meaning “clean your plate.”

In celebration of the arrival of the Shakers in the United States on Aug. 6, 1774, the Warren County Historical Society will host a Shaker Supper and tour at 7 p.m. Aug. 6 at 105 S. Broadway, Lebanon.

Mary Allen, a celebrated Shaker scholar, will provide a short talk about the conflicts the Shaker’s faced as they attempted to live apart from the world while at the same time constantly interacting with non-Shakers.
