It won’t be long before “it’s proppa to eat chiken” in South Lebanon.

Proposed plans for a Chick-fil-A were approved by the village’s planning commission Tuesday, Sept. 8 to be built at Rivers Crossing Pavilion in South Lebanon.

To be located on Corwin Nixon Boulevard along the east side of Ohio 48, plans call for a 4,596-square-foot facility with interior seating to accommodate 136 patrons and exterior accommodations for 60 percent of business expected to come by way of drive-through trade, according to Gary Rouse, Akron-based GBC Design Inc. representative.

“Chick-fil-A is very excited about coming to South Lebanon. As you know, this is a hot area and they are expecting big things,” Rouse said.

Proposed to join the existing Kohl’s, Lowe’s and Target in the South Lebanon shopping center, William Madison, planning commission member and vice mayor, said Chick-fil-A would be the first restaurant to be located at the Pavilion and that it would “launch the start of the expansion of commercial diversity” at Rivers Crossing.

Estimating the construction schedule, Rouse said startup should begin in April of next year. He said the project should be completed by August and open for business.

Madison estimated the restaurant would create about 70 new jobs for the South Lebanon area.

This is awesome - one of the best "fast food" restaurants in the county! Wonderful, wholesome food. This Atlanta based chain deserves the support of the Hamilton Township, S. Lebanon residents.
