Lebanon school and county law enforcement officials will hold a community drug forum at 7 p.m. tonight, Nov. 5, at the Lebanon Junior High School Auditorium, 60 Miller Road, Lebanon.
The event, which is open to all parents, is sponsored by the Lebanon schools and the Coalition for a Drug-Free Warren County.
The discussion will be based on results from the Pride Survey, an annual questionnaire given to measure student alcohol, tobacco and other drug use.
Lebanon Junior High School principal Ian Frank said the meeting’s goal is to open dialogue among Lebanon residents and inform families about drug and alcohol trends in the community.
“The good news is that, overall, the results show drug use is down,” Frank said. “But, we want to focus on what happens between 3 and 5 p.m. This is when much of the activity happens.”
A panel discussion will review the results of the Pride Survey, and the audience will have an opportunity to share their thoughts about the data.
Participants will include Lebanon High School Principal Sam Ison, Warren County Prosecutor Rachel Hutzel, the Rev. Lindsey Smith of PWC Ministries and Lebanon parents Eddie Jewett, Ken Korhan and Mike Sheehy.
