Brandon McManus kicked a 19-yard field goal with 3 seconds remaining to give the Temple Owls a 34-32 victory over the Miami RedHawks tonight in a Mid-American Conference game at Lincoln Financial Field.
Miami had capped a dramatic comeback when a 2-yard touchdown run by Thomas Merriweather gave the RedHawks a 32-31 lead with 2:36 left in the fourth quarter. A two-point conversion pass attempt failed.
The RedHawks trailed 31-13 after three quarters but tallied three straight touchdowns. Two-point conversion attempts following the last two touchdowns, however, failed.

The Miami RedHawks have scored two touchdowns in the fourth quarter and trail the Temple Owls 31-26 with 8:52 left in tonight’s Mid-American Conference game at Lincoln Financial Field.
Miami quarterback Zac Dysert threw a 25-yard touchdown pass to tight end Steve Marck with 13:35 left in the final period, and after a Temple punt, Miami drove again and scored on a 14-yard touchdown pass from Dysert to Armand Robinson.
It was Robinson’s second touchdown reception of the night.
Temple had taken a 31-13 lead late in the third quarter on a 14-yard touchdown run by true freshman Bernard Pierce, his third touchdown of the night.

The Temple Owls have scored 10 unanswered points in the third quarter to take a 31-13 lead over the Miami RedHawks tonight in Philadelphia.
Brandon McManus kicked a 42-yard field goal with 9:17 left in the third period, and with 2:37 on the clock freshman running back Bernard Pierce scored his third touchdown of the night on a 14-yard run.
Pierce, who is coming off back-to-back 200-yard games, has rushed 30 times for 123 yards.

The Miami RedHawks trail the Temple Owls 21-13 at halftime of their Mid-American Conference game tonight at Lincoln Financial Field.
Miami scored 10 points in the final 4 minutes of the half.
Zac Dysert threw an 11-yard touchdown pass to Armand Robinson with 3:41 remaining in the second quarter to cap a six-play, 76-yard drive which also featured a 43-yard pass to Jamal Rogers.
With 11 seconds left in the half Trevor Cook kicked a 26-yard field goal. The RedHawks had recovered a fumble by Temple quarterback Chester Stewart at the Owls’ 21-yard line.
Dysert has passed for 210 yards, one touchdown and one interception.
Temple true freshman running back Bernard Pierce has 60 yards and two touchdowns on 15 carries.

The Temple Owls stretched their lead over the Miami RedHawks to 21-3 on a 7-yard touchdown run by Bernard Pierce with 5:21 left in the second quarter tonight in Philadelphia.
The touchdown was set up by a 45-yard pass from Vaughn Charlton to wide receiver James Nixon.
Miami’s only points came on a 20-yard field goal by Trevor Cook in the first period.

The Temple Owls lead the Miami RedHawks 14-3 after one quarter tonight at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.
The Owls took an 11-point lead on a 1-yard touchdown run by quarterback Vaughn Charlton on a fake punt with 1:50 left in the opening period after Temple had lined up for what appeared to be an 18-yard field goal attempt.

Trevor Cook kicked a 20-yard field goal with 7:57 left in the first quarter for the Miami RedHawks, who trail the Temple Owls 7-3 tonight in a Mid-American Conference football game.
Miami quarterback Zac Dysert began the drive with completions of 25 yards to Armand Robinson, 25 yards to Robinson again and 14 yards to Brayden Coombs.
Temple had taken a 7-0 lead on a six-play, 33-yard drive. Bernard Pierce scored on a 1-yard touchdown run.
