Annexation tax 
a bad idea

Lebanon is considering a non-refundable tax of $500 on property owners that ask to annex to the city (Ordinance No. 2009-046) plus a $200 fee to file a plat after annexation. Annexation can bring citizens that live and/or work in annexed territory — employees that will pay city income taxes. Isn’t that enough?

The annexation tax is an expensive idea that deserves a “no” vote.
