Freshman pitcher Emily Fultz continued to make her presence felt, and Valley View topped Milton Union 1-0 in high school softball action Monday night.
Fultz (6-1) threw her third shutout of the season. She gave up only one hit and struck out 15 batters.

Valley View won its fourth straight game and improved to 7-3 overall. Milton Union is 9-4.
Ansonia 8, Versailles 0: Junior pitcher Brittany Mayo (7-0) threw her second no-hitter of the year and struck out nine in a win over Versailles. Ansonia is 14-1 and ranked fifth in the Division IV state poll.
Beavercreek 14, Spr. North 4: Carly Ivan hit a three-run home run in the fourth inning and Ashley Skinner added four RBIs for Beavercreek. Suzanne Witt (6-3) earned the win. Beavercreek improves to 6-6 (2-0).
Tri-Village 4, Arcanum 0: Sophomore pitcher Jordyn Fisherback (7-0) allowed no runs on two hits and 14 strikeouts. In 48 innings pitched, Fisherback has allowed no earned runs and has struck out 94 batters. Samantha Royer added a double and 2 RBI. Tri-Village is now 8-2 (6-0). Arcanum is 2-4-1.
Fairmont 5, Wayne 3: Hannah Klink earned the win and Fairmont improved to 7-1 (2-0 GWOC Central).
Baseball
Preble Shawnee 4, Waynesville 3, 9 innings: Freshman pitcher Ryan Agee earned the win in addition to hitting the game-winning two-run double in the bottom of the ninth inning with two outs.
Eaton 4, Oakwood 3: Chayse Hood stole home in the bottom of the fifth inning to push the Eagles to the win. Eaton (9-3) remained in a tie with Franklin for the lead in the SWBL Southwestern Division, both at 5-1.
