CENTERVILLE — Adam Replogle will again play football with his brother Tyler. They will be reunited on the Indiana University team.
Adam, a 6-foot-3, 265-pound defensive lineman and senior-to-be at Centerville High School, verbally committed to Indiana on Wednesday, July 2. Tyler, who is two years older, plays linebacker for the Hoosiers.
"Playing with him again was a factor," Adam said. "We're pretty close. I played with Tyler when he was a senior at Centerville and I was a sophomore and it was a lot of fun. I wanted to experience that feeling again. He's been a great inspiration and helped me with the recruiting process. I watched five IU games in person last year and it was a great atmosphere.
"The university is making all kinds of renovations — new weight room, new turf — it's going to be amazing," Adam said. "The opportunity to play in the Big Ten meant a lot, too. It's the best conference out there. Head coach Bill Lynch is personable and seems like a player's coach."
Replogle entertained 15 offers and selected IU over Iowa. As the Elks nose tackle, he produced 82 tackles (50 solo), 25 tackles behind the line of scrimmage and 5½ sacks last year. He earned All-
Greater Western Ohio Conference.
"Adam has a non-stop motor on the football field and is very, very intense," Centerville head coach Ron Ullery said. "He stays low to the ground and explodes off the ball. IU is getting a great football player. He can play for anybody in the country.
"He is only going to grow as an interior defensive tackle. Just a high-character young man."
